Black Jetta Highway persuit on TSN

much agreed. while i have never did any evading with any of the vw's i've
owned, i did once get slid into (sideways) by an 80 mercury capri (i was in
rocco #1, an 88 white 16v, almost exactly like bretts). after the wreck, the
poor capri was stuck in the intersection, its battery on the ground (!). i
asked the girl to pop the hood so i could try to get the thing going and get
her off of the road, and her hood scooted over by 3-4" upon popping,
indicating that the entire front end had shifted over upon impact. we
eventually pushed the thing off the road. i then went to inspect the damage
to the rocco, and found the body above and below the bumper strip a bit
pushed in, but the strip itself remained in its original position (gotta
love that huge tube thats midline in the door). the pass. door still opened
just fine, and the window still rolled up/down without fail. i then looked
back at the capri and saw the bumper strip IMPRINT all the way down the
front fender, leading back to the perfect 5-spoke enkei rear wheel IMPRINT
in her driver side door (my alignment was unchanged).

that event alone was the reason i am now up to rocco #8 and i have the wife
on vw #2. its gotta mean something when you can basically drive away from a
crazy wreck while the other car is taken off in a flat bed, having
semi-wrapped itself around your car!
