(ot) i fought the law and the law won.

That sounds believable enough.

ahhh, but the stereo wasn't too loud. the ticket was given to me as i was
driving my probe, which still has the stock head unit and speakers in it.
the officer said he could hear it from 300ft away, but i can't get the
stereo turned up loud enough to be heard that far away and still be able to
stand sitting in the car. the fact that the stereo ticket was given to me at
the end of the month, the fact that the stereo could only be heard 20ft from
the car (law requires 100ft to get a ticket), and that it was received at
1:30 am are why i fought. i think i was originally pulled over to see if i
had been drinking, i once determined that i was not the officer had to give
me a ticket for something. believe me l.f., the stereo was not turned up
loud, i outgrew that stuff about 10 years ago. thats the reason i fought it
also, it was simply a BS ticket.
