Running problems

The car runs well when cool it seems, but today, on the way back after a 40 
miles drive the car ran REALLY poorly.
The tach signal is ok, but the power drops tremendously. Putting pressure on 
the accelerator causes the car to "stall" and run even worse.
If I let the car idle, it seems ok till I try to add more gas, then the 
porformance dies again.

It feels like when the fuel pump died before, but this is a new one (3 
months) from the guys at Adirondak.

Any ideas guys?
