intermediate shaft

well on a 8v or 16v the intermediate shaft spin in 2 bearings actually, one near the sproket andone near the oil pump end.
 
any machine shop can remove these yes.

I was checking the intermediate shaft and i have major play. Could the bearing have been removed by the machine shop? I slide it in and it has major movement on the innner bearing. Is the bearing seperate since it seem that the shaft moves around quite a bit near the distributor side....Ahhhhh possible another delay....
