Cooling system flush, was Re: blue balls (or soon to be)



I've done cooling system flushes in the past and never really got much crap
out.
Recently, though on two cars that I was replacing heater core hoses on, I
ran the house hose directly to one heater hose with the other end open. Lots
of crap in there! It's an uphill run out of the core and apparently the flow
rate through the core isn't that high so crap and corrosion tend to
accumulate in the core.
Just a thought.
