1.8 JH swap....bit more power...still sucks

This reminds me. On the JH the mark on the cam pulley does not align with
the top of the head. It aligns with the top of the valve cover or the very
top of the little side shield on the driver's side of the timing belt.
If it's aligned with the top of the head it's a tooth advanced. You might
try retarding the cam from the original position and see if that picks up
some power.

The fuel distributor may be an issue if you have the 60mm plate. I don't
think that would kill power though, just hurt the top end some. Upgrading to
an 80mm plate FD would help although that doesn't sound like the real issue
here.

As far as the clutch, I would think a 190mm clutch would work fine with a
stock JH or even one with some mild mods.
