water leak causes?

I thought that I fixed the leak in my car but I am only half done.  The
rear hatch seal was the cause of one leak which managed to trash part of
the headliner.  After a drive home from work last night in a nice
lightning show, accompanied by about 2" of rain, the headliner is dry.
The passenger floor is not dry, it was wet in front and behind the seat.
I had originally thought that the water from the headliner area was
draining into the trunk and then into the floor however, that is not the
source of this leak.
 
            Anyone have some leak stories they want to share?

BTW, it does have a sun roof but the hoses seem intact.  I poured about
a quart of water down each of the four drain holes.
