how can i test fuel system pressure?

still trying to find out why my car is slow (yet otherwise running fine). 
took yet another 1k mile road trip, no problems, 29-30 mpg highway (not 
great, but 85 mph w/ the a/c on, not worrisome either). ordered a fuel 
pressure tester from sears on line since i can't find one around here. got 
it in the mail, and of course it says it's only for american cars. anyone 
know where i can get one? anyone have one they could bring to cincy? thx,
