bad ground or alternator?

check your ground but I would also inspect your voltage regulator brushes, I
bed they are worn down or the spring is too tired to keep a good contact of
the brushes inside the alternator,.

=>i'm thinking i have bad grounds again, here's the symptoms: it seems that
=>the alternator is working intermittently, about three times yesterday i
=>caught my volt meter reading dead zero, both times the car died shortly
=>after. but after jump starting it a couple of times the voltmeter
=>would read
=>normal. it seems by the pattern that when you first start the car
=>after it's
=>cool the alternator doesn't work, but after you let it die and
=>jump start it
=>the alternator will come to life. sound like a bad ground or will
=>alternators start working off and on when they start to go bad? tia
