944 question (it's broken and its german!)

My 8v does that, next time he gets to a stop, tell him to pump his brake
pedal, if the idle stabilizes after a few pedal pump, he's got a vacuum leak
somewhere. time to check the lines...

=>You guyses are the most knowledgeable german auto types I know, so
=>maybe someone might shed some light on this one:
=>
=>My buddy has an 87 944 turbo,
=>
=>when he starts it up, it'll sometimes stall, or try to kill itself, it
=>will then idle hunt up to about 2500 RPMs, and dig down to almost
=>stalling out, the fluctuations will get smaller until it evens out. It
=>also does it when he comes to a stop... Anybody have any ideas?
=>
=>Thanks!
