[Front Upper Strut Brace on E-Bay]

I suppose, i assumed it was Golf Mk1 or Scirocco, I didn't think of Mk1
Scirocco's cos they are so rare in the UK.
I've never even seen a Mk1 over here. I've only ever seen photos. I might
send the guy a message to ask what it fitment it is.
I'm only running an 8v engine without factory central locking so it seems
the only obstruction i can see would be the inlet manifold

It's a moot point anyway, the brace on e-bay is for a mk-1. However a mk2
8v
bar won't fit with a 16v engine, BTDT.

Nobody told my brace that! Seriously, I believe the 8V won't fit over the
16V
intake runners, but there is a 16V version that is designed to cross the
engine bay further back. (I can send you a pic if you like) The 16V one
will
fit either, or at least it was hiding neatly under the Rabbit's hood once
when
it "went missing". Dang kid.
