Facing a change in scirocco situation [long]

84 Auto-x car gone. Supernice STOCK 72 1800E Volvo about to arrive. I'm
going to wax it, put the car cover on it and treat it like a motorcycle.
Take it out on nice clear days and leave it parked in the garage the rest of
the time. I loved my rocco and would but another in heartbeat but I'm done
throwing tons of money and time into a car to make it just a bit faster.

I sold my rocco for $3000. That's $1000 more than I paid for it 12 years
ago and twice the book value for excellent condition. However that's about
a 10th of the money I put into it over the years I owned and raced it.

In a few years I might buy a nice clean 16V to park in the garage next to
it.
