Ive done this and actually saw a drop in temps of 5-10 degrees in places
on the head. 5 degree drop in hose temps. 
Dunno how exactly or why it works, just know it seemingly does. (I know
there's some sort of surface tension removal device in the magic potion.
Just dont know the chemical compounds that makes it work.)
