download this:
http://www.realvnc.com/dist/vnc-3.3.7-x86_win32.exe
install the client on your computer at home, set up the password, etc. set
it to run as a service. make note of your ip address and take to work with
you.
then while at work, run this:
http://www.realvnc.com/dist/vnc-3.3.7-x86_win32_viewer.exe
type in your home ip address and password, and voala, your home pc, in a
window at work. you can then do whatever you wish, remotely, including
checking your yahoo mail.

p.s. personally, i'd be pissed if my job prevented me from checking my own
freaking email. i should at least be able to do it on a break.
