can "bad gas" throw warning lights? (ot)

I've noticed when you have a car with higher compression (over 9.5-1) BP
fuel never seems to run properly. I've heard alot of folks say that BP has
a high alch. content in is fuel and that is what causes the problems. Just
my .02
