help with rounded out screw

With a hacksaw or other cutting tool (I use a cut off wheel), put a slot =
in it. Be careful to keep the edges of the slot nice and square. You =
should be able to turn it out with a flat bladed screw driver.

I am trying to put armor door plates on my scirocco and the screw that =
holds the door handle on is totally stripped out. I can't get it to =
bite with anything I've tried. I know somebody has had to run into this =
