HELP!!! my rocco yanks to the left on the highway!!!!!

while im driving down the highway, everything is fine, then all of a sudden,
the car starts to jerk to the left. like a spasm or something. it goes
away, then it comes right back, and it is so bad that i almost go into the
other lane. any one got any ideas as to what this is???? please help!!
