Motor Swap Problems...

I am prepping a G60 Turbo to be dropped into the Scirocco. I would love to
do this, only the rear mount is giving me some issues. I was told by a
reliable source that all I had to do was swap the motor mounts. Sounds
pretty easy, only the bolt pattern is way different (so much for
reliability). Only God knows why I didn't check it out before.

I am now faced with two options:

A. Change engines and attempt a 1.8 or 2.0 16v Turbo engine (I don't want to
go to 8v unless its a G60).

B. Do something about this motor mount.

I know with option "A" I will have to lower the compresstion, change my
turbo manifold, convert over to Digifart (because I already have the
injectors and FPR I want to use), and probably a few other costly things.
OTOH, I am not an ace fabricator. Option "B" will require me to rig up a
bracket or something along those lines.

My questions is this: What the hell do I do?? I am really getting inbetween
a rock and a hard place. My parents are starting to get upset about having
this Scirocco in thier driveway so I will need to move it in the near
future. I would love to move it by using its own power. I am getting
desperate! Anyone on this list have experiance with dropping an A2 engine
into an A1??
