I talked to a UPS driver about this once. He said it's cheaper for them =
to just drop parts off and pay (pay? yeah, right) for any mistakes than =
to wait the 3-4 minutes for a sig. By the end of the day they have =
delivered an extra dozen packages.
...to the wrong houses, no doubt.

  I've only used Airborne once, things went fine and the package showed =
up right on time. As for UPS, getting a package delivered next door =
would be something I consider not bad. They dropped off my subs to a =
house a few miles away and just left them on the front porch even though =
a signature was required. In my area, they were damn lucky to get them =
back. Took them 3 days too.=20

    I despise Airborn. They sent the package out, but never delivered =
it. I=20
    watched the web site go from "Out for delivery" to "At hub" (the day =
before=20
    and 2 hours earlier).
    When they delivered it the next day, they dropped it at the wrong =
house, one=20
    house over.
