interesting that you should say this, because as i read this very email, i
was in the middle of hooking up the vcr to my pc, to dub over the (several)
scirocco dealer videos that i have sitting here (thanks to daun and brett
for the loaners). only difference is that i planned on spreading the
compressed video around for free, once its converted.

if you made 1:1 copies of that video and sold them for say $5 each, with
only the intent (stated clearly) that you wish to cover what it cost you
from ebay, i dont believe you would have any copyright issues. the video is
no longer available. if vw makes a stink about it, they had better start
producing those videos for their enthusiasts. "put up or shut up" kinda
thing, ya know.
