Rough Idle Problem...Sometimes



Could be a lot of things but I would lean toward it being fuel related like
a leaky injector or something.  But, could be something else too.  Start
with mechanical, if you can't find anything wrong there (compression,
condition of plugs, flat lifters?), etc, then go on to ignition (cap, rotor,
leaky distributor, wires, plugs, timing etc. etc)  then check fuel (pump
pressure, system pressure, sensor plate, throttle body, fuel filter, etc.
etc).  Eventually you will stumble upon your problem.  The fact that it only
happens once in a while makes it tougher to diagnose.  Good luck!!
