where to wire in ignition kill switch?

I want to just put a simple toggle switch on or near the dash which will make it so my Scirocco won't spark, but the engine will still turn. What is the easiest way to do this? My engine knocks after startup unless I crank it over for about 10 seconds first, I'm getting sick of disconnecting the coil wire everytime the Rocco hasn't been started for over an hour. Thanks,
