Am I in the wrong? (long)

did some digging:
thread:
http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=899205
guy who locked it:
http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerouser?cmd=viewprofile&id=12321

i just im'd him (in an anonymous manner):

i believe this thread:
http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=899205 was
inappropriately locked. you claim this 'does not involve vwvortex'. going by
that "rule", 3/4 of the threads in the gti forum should be locked, as they
do not directly involve vwvortex either. your forum has been provided by its
creators as a service to the vw community. someone (in this very community)
seems to have ripped someone else off. the person owns a (vw) gti, and the
other guy is just trying to figure out who it is. i can think of no better
applicable forum (on the entire internet) to post such a querry in.
thank you for reading.
