anyone added sound deadening?



Below are the three things I used to help quite the
beast. I also used a fairly thick carpet padding too.
I used all this stuff when I had the interior ripped
out to replace the carpet. I used the deadening sheets
from front to rear, including the tire well area. I
used the spray foam in the cavity behind the rear seat
armrest cards, and to overlap in areas the sheets did
not completely cover. And of course used the hoodliner
to replace that ugly as hell foam crap that VW had put
in. The only spot I didn't do that I wish I had was
the inside of the doors, I may do those eventually. 

The results were pretty good. Without any db meters to
give a before and after results, I just say that it's
around half as noisy as before. I can enjoy my stereo
at highway speeds now.
