Laser/Radar Detectors

Valentine One is still the best. There are a few sub-models of the
valentine one, so if you buy one of eBay used, and at a substantial
cost savings, be sure not to get an older model that does not protect
you from the newer radar bands.

Unfortunately I can't get a Valentine One for my merc, the windshield
is impregnated with titanium which causes the valentine one not to
work very well. I'm currently considering a front & rear mounted setup
which includes laser protection as well at >$1K.

The Valentine One website is pretty informative.

Subject: Laser/Radar Detectors

Anyone have a good 'net resource for learning about
laser/radar detectors?

Any BTDT stores on what to buy, what not to buy? Is the
Valentine One still the only decent unit? Are there others that are
close, but not as pricey?

Any input is appreciated. I am willing to spend some cash on
this purchase. I don't a $40 Wal-mart special is next to useless and
a waste of money.

	Thanks,

	Renard
