tools for tranny swap?

You should have no problems swapping those. Make sure you do the clutch
while you're in there, unless the existing is of known quality. Tranny
bushings are $5 - do those too.

You'll need: 11mm socket and 10mm socket (various bell housing bolts,
speedo cable), 8mm allen (I think - starter bolts (I have also seen starter
bolts with a 10mm-12pt/triple-square), 17mm allen (tranny drain plug),
9mm-12pt socket (flywheel), 8mm 12-pt/triple-square (CV bolts), 17mm socket
(pressure plate, multiple engine mounts), torque wrench, 17mm and 19mm combo
wrenches, bailing wire/coat hanger (securing of PP).

1) Take transmission mount off bell housing before trying to remove tranny
(I'm pretty sure the Bentley says you get by without doing this, but I will
NEVER go that route again).

2) triple-check to make sure speedo cable and linkage is completely free
(don't ask me how I know)

Anything else? :)
