[audio] questions about subwoofers

   1) does the hatch area of the mk2 make a decent enough box without 
having to build a seperate box? i'd be making a custom hatch lid to 
mount the speakers in. the subs would me 10" at max, 8" most likely.

   2) where can an amp be mounted? can is be right next to a sub or 
should it be mounted elsewhere where the sound vibrations will be lessened?

   3) would it be possible to keep the existing vw radio and still put 
in subs? i've seen bass blockers, however there are only four (eight) 
leads from the radio to each of the four speakers. ideas?

   i look forward to feedback. give me something to ask for for my
