aftermarket seat info

As a general rule, the race seats (not the reclining street seats) are
thinner on the bottom. And, if they are side mounts (not all are), you could
straddle something. You'd have to actually measure to make sure that it
would clear at the height you want.

Subject: aftermarket seat info

need info on what the bottom of an aftermarket seat looks like.
specifically, can one be installed straddling the center rail of a scirocco
(i.e. where the shifter/e-brake was), and still sit at the same height. i'm
guessing aftermarket seats dont have many parts in the center, and are
probably thinner at the bottom.
i would get a momo carbon shell or something similar, if that plays into
the thickness at all.
thx in advance for info
