[help! need glass in new orleans!]



oh, crap! more like you drove my car! maybe your bad luck rubbed off, like 
the stink in that seinfeld episode...
on a (slightly) happier note, i made it safely back from louisiana with my 
stereo and other goodies intact. i didn't get glass, but went to a hardware 
store, bought some plexiglass and a cutter, and 30 min/$20 later instant 
window. worked very nice, barely wind noise at 85 mph, and that was due to a 
slight mis-cut. got me thinking, plexiglass=light=cheap=easy to cut. why not 
replace glass with this stuff? only things i can think of are: scratching 
(no more than paint though, right?) and safety (i'm thinking these can 
shatter into knife-like pieces).
