[Mk1] Strut insert replacement?

i have done it without a compressor, and im certainly no arnold :)
i remove the top nuts first, then jack up the car and remove the spring
tension that way. when reinstalling, do the reverse and let the car be the
spring compressor. you will need a big set of vice grips and a thick rag to
clamp the strut rod in the extended position, as it will want to sink into
the strut instead of push through the strut bearing.
