Hey, now! Swedish meatballs are damn good! You go ahead and keep thinking my brick is going to be slower than a grandma behind the wheel of her buick. It'll just make it that much better. ;)

Yeah, reverse does tend to go. Also, when you up the boost, it's not uncommon to blow up the gearbox by downshifting and then stomping on it. Yeah, I don't mind parking on the other side, I'll keep the corrado company. If you pull an APC from a yard, might as well pull the turbo too. T3's go for a fair amount on ebay. And as for the Yugo comment, we'll just see how much crap you'll be talking after the caravan to Cincy Eric, When I went from NY to CO, I took I-80 (I think) which is probably what we'll take and if I remember correctly, it was pretty much flat, straight and pretty much unpopulated by cars or cops... ;)

Yes. They are wierd. The tranny is bolted to the bottom of the engine. There is a chain from the clutch assembly to the tranny....and I think the tranny shares the engine oil for lube...not sure. And, the reverse always goes out on Saabs. Reason is, on most of them, you can't get the key out of the ignition(which is in the center console, sorta)without the car being in reverse. So every time you stop the car, you have to put it in reverse to get the key out. Next time you see a saab leaving from somewhere, listen for the tell tail "crunch" of it going into reverse...badly.

Saabs APC system is a popular junkyard score for those wanting to turbo a VW on the cheap. It really works well and is simple.

So, Kias being the crappy asian imports, shouldn't crappy euro imports be called Yugos? Yeah...Yugos. Dan, you can park your Yugo with the Kias. :-)
