205/45/16 what offset should I get



Just a thought... I know a few guys running this size wheel (16x7)
with 205/40-16 tires.  If you want a really low-profile look,
slightly better acceleration (due to the reduced overall diameter),
and less chance of rubbing (again, due to the smaller wheel diameter)
then consider the 40 profile instead of the 45.

If you use the wheel/tire calculator... on Scirocco.org of course...
you will see that the 45 series will have a rolling diameter of over
2% larger than a stock wheel/tire (185/60-14).  However, going with
the 40 series tire will give you only a ~1% smaller diameter compared
to stock.

Just something to consider...
