205/45/16 what offset should I get

I have BBS RX 16 X 7 rims.
They are hubcentric and ET35.
With Pirelli 205/45x16 they only rubbed at full lock on the wheel well
liner towards the front. 
My car isn't very low. Lower control arm is just a touch lower than
horizontal. i.e the chassis pivot is slightly lower than the hub carrier
pivot.
