OT: found problem with 8v GTI

ok got a a/f meter hooked up to the car and took it
for a good hard run, at full throttle it should run at
full rich, it does, but not for long, at about 4k rpm
it goes straight to lean, which leads me to believe
that it is fuel related, so i am gonna change out the
fuel filter and see if that changes things for me, but
if not it would appear that i am in need of some new
fuel pumps.
