Audi 5000

It's been done in an Mk1 rally Pikes Peak hill climber so it is possible.
Of course you will have to remember that you'll need to fab a tunnel, figure
out how to mount the rear suspension and, most importantly, figure out how
to get that honkin' motor in the front of your car. You can say bye bye to
the rain tray to start and get really friendly with a wire feed to weld in
all the bracketry for a side mount radiator and mounts. I think the best
swap if you were going to go longitudinally mounted motor was a TDI in and a
synchro system. A 50 mpg all wheel drive hotrod!! that would be BAD!! The
parts are readily accessible as well. You can get about 250hp out of the
TDI with the right tuning.

I can get an Audi 5000T very inexpensively....
Anyone done a 10V conversion in a MKI?
or a MKII.

Nice hp gain, but I've heard that there may not be room under the hood
and or there quite a bit of fabrication involved?

Anyone?
Thanks
Rob
