New ? (was: retrofitting 16v front brakes onto mk1)

Here are your options and differences...

16V 20.64mm
G20 22mm approx
Audi 5000 QT 23.81mm cyl. 19/17mm Dia. reservoir holes)
Audi 5000 QT Wagon 25.40mm cyl. 18/18mm Dia. reservoir holes

The Porsche 944 MC has 3 spigots and not 4 so some plumbing is required...
with the Audi units you'll probably need to replace the reservoir. 23mm or
greater is over kill unless you are running 2 or 4 pot brakes up front.

16V MC go for about $55 these days.
