[tech] Timing and setting Fuel Mixture

Guys,

I know how to set the timing and fuel mixture on my VW's but I don't know how to do so on my brutha's
car.  Car: 85 Jetta Carat with an automatic tranny (yuck).  Can I use the dwell meter to set the fuel
mixture?  Is it any different to set the timing on an automatic????

Any help is greatly appreciated...
