HELP! MkI Conversion to PS question...



The rack should be generally centered in the hole, but you already knew
that.
I have pictures of the rack brackets on the chassis on a MK II if that will
do any good, but the sheet metal is not that complicated so if it was
damaged you would probably see that. Also, the rear tranny mount is right
behind and sort of an integral part of the driver's side rack mount bracket,
so if the rack bracket is screwed up I would think the tranny mount bracket
would be screwed up too.
Does this make any sense at all??
I seem to remember that some of your mounts were bent. Is it possible the
rear tranny mount is moved back also and is causing the rack missalignment?
Like I said I have pictures I can send you (most from under the car), so
LMK.
