Block interchangability



The squirters are just there, squirting at the bottom of the piston. As long
as they clear everything (and no reason they shouldn't) all is good.

As far as the turbos; I don't know anything about the KKK turbos. All you
can do is look at the characteristics on the existing engine and try to
extrapolate to the different engine size. I would think either of the KKK's
on a 1.8 L engine would be peaky and laggy. Not the ticket for an auto-x
car, but good for the drag race provided you have enough traction. OTOH, if
they're sized to give really good low end response on the original engine,
like the K03 on the A4, then maybe they would be a good choice.
At least with the T3/T4 we can get compressor maps, but we still don't know
about response.
A K03 would give really good low end response on the 1.8L 8V, but top end
would suck. To bad there isn't room for two of them with the second one
coming online at high CFM since they are cheap as rags!
