New to sciroccos

Mark,

Are you wanting to sell your "extra bodykit"?

I have an 8v coming to me soon and I am wanting to put one on it. LMK

So get a 16V kit rip it off a junker. 8 valve stuff litterally costs at
least half to a quarter what 16V stuff costs. Sometimes even for the exact
same items. I agree 8V all the way (shamelss plug I have an extra bodykit
right now off already)

I agree with Julie. The 8 valve is much better to start off with. Not
as fast but not a slug, plus they're much simpler. The only problem is
you don't get the nice body kit.

I don't know where you're at but I'm in Olympia, WA and am getting my
84.5 8valve ready to sell. I'm taking off most of the suspension to
transfer it over to my rabbit but the car itself will still be really
nice. Currently the tranny is out as I just repaired the steering rack
studs (Its probably more reliable now). Anyway, if you're in the area
and want to check it out that would be cool. I also have the body kit
for it but haven't installed it.

www.uberzip.com has pics.

>oh yeah... if you get a 16v... change the timing belt... AHAH!
Jeeze man. Floor the guy with his first car!

I'd suggest an 8V first. Easy to repair, simple and inexpensive for
parts.
Good car to learn on.
If near upstate NY, I know a gal that has an '85 8v thats in good
condition
and has plenty of spares to play with for a decent price....
(I know, its a plug, but if Pat can do it....)

Welcome to the list BTW :)
