the bolt kit, 4k and 0.80 fifth are in!!

And they kick ass!

It's probably due a bit to the fact that I hadn't driven my car in over 2
months, but -man- is my car fun to drive now! The 4k is torquey and the
2.0l 16v is torquey and when you put them together, wow!!! Mucha aceleracion!

Driving around town with the motor and the new tranny setup, my
bilstein/h&r suspension and ferodo brakes is like being in a sweeet
Porsche! I can accelerate, brake, and maneuver like no other and I love it !

Sciroccos rule! (obviously)

I'm so glad to have this project finished! I learned a lot about
transmissions and gained some special tools along the way. But talk about
slow goin's.. I really should have planned things out better and had all
my parts before starting (well.. I would have if my clutch hadn't
grenaded; effectively starting the project /for/ me). Anyway, I feel
pretty at home with 020 trannies now. If I ever have to pull one apart
again it should be a breeze!

Special thanks to Ron for providing the supplementary instructions that
really helped me figure out what wasn't in the Bentley, and Harbor
Freight for the 12 ton press that I couldn't have done without. It's a
piece of crap as far as build/paint quality goes, but you knew that.

Whew.. I gotta go to bed. I don't think I'm gonna sleep much though!!
