scirocco headlights are bright enough

100 isn't overkill! There is no such thing as overkill. :)
Seriously -- as long as you have a good beam pattern and your lights are
properly aimed, you could run 300 watts without a problem.
I run 100/90w H4s with 100w H3s in my Scirocco. It's infinitely better
than stock -- but still not as good as I'd like, after comparing them to my
other cars that use the much more modern H7 lights.
When these bulbs burn out, it's 130/100 H4s for me. Or 130/130 if I can
find them.
