Its also the simple fact that some people just don't have mechanical =
skills. I learned back 10 + years ago that, Josh + Working on own car =
=3D bigger problem. I can do minor things, but big work equals a nono.I =
worked countless hours at shitty jobs pulling overtime every week =
almost. I also didn't spend money on anything else. In short, to have =
the car I have now, I busted my ass. I wish I had the skills to do what =
has been done to it, things would have been much easier. Researching =
parts, finding parts, and having a vision of an unique car is also much =
harder than just thumbing through a catalogue and picking out items.=20

I also have by the gallon - "you all put in the blood, sweat and tears"=20

well thank you, though I personally do it myself because a) I am =
married b) It;s my damn garage c) see reason (a).

as for people that can afford to get the work done by someone else =
CjOoUsGhH.. well if you have the money and a) no desire or will to know =
how to do it yourself and you can afford it, more power to you... there =
are days when rebuilding my 2L I remind myself I could of drop the car =
at paint shop, and engine at engine shop and wait 2 weeks and get it all =
in one piece working... nahhhh 6 weeks later my engine bay is still =
empty and I am still waiting for piston rings to arrive... yeah.. sucks.

Nah, most people here seem to do their own stuff. I know a few of =
you have taken your cars to the shop for the PITA stuff but that's it. =
Tobias didn't call his body shop and go hey, throw these bimmer lights =
in for me. Brian rebuilt his engine 50 times himself. Allyn painted his =
own rims. Ect, ect you get the idea. Coming from Albany, I get irked =
when I hear punks talking about how they've spent $30,000 on their car =
for paint, enginework, bodykit, ect. Any schmuck can pick parts out of a =
catalogue and go up to a garage and say here, put this in. I have =
respect for everyone here because when it comes time to wrench on your =
car, you all put in the blood, sweat and tears. Guess that's why our =
cars are better than everyone elses! ;)
