[TECH] Side Draughts with Carbs

Now I know there are lots of possibilities out there on carbs and yes I am
aware I get lousy gas mileage with it, so here is the question;

Assuming one got their hands on a dual side draught  (Side draft for ya
Americans) manifold, for a scirocco 8v head, what kind of recommended Webber
carburetors one would seek to install on them, I mean there is quite the
variety of models and a dual 40 DCOE or a 45 DCOE are pretty much the same
thing except sizes, so the question would be, whom has such a setup, and
what is it?

..looking into carbureting it...
