Tough luck, man! At least you got another engine in the works.
When I checked the main and rod bearing clearances on my 140k mile PL
block, they were all well within spec so I put standard sized bearings
in it.
Between this list and vortex, this is probably the 4th engine I've heard
coming back from a machine shop being rebuilt improperly.
