The oil pan gasket thing

the only time the blue RV is good, is if you lay a thin layer on the pan
edge before you place the cork gasket on it help seal and hold the gasket in
place while you mount the pan, I have done this before and it never
leaked...

  Well, remember when last week I said I changed my oil pan gasket and
instead of using a gasket all I used was RTV gasket maker and in worked
great?  Well, forget it.  Its leaking like CRAZY now.  So looks like I am
gonna have to break down and do it all over again and get the rubber gasket.
Man I am such a cheapass, I thought it would work just as good but it
doesn't.
