euro lights + protectors + heat = cracked euro lights



Well, the filament is well over 1500degrees F, probably closer to 2000dF.
Put your hand a foot away from the lense when the light is on and you'll get
an idea of the btu's....
The spaced polycarbonate shield would be the most effective of anything, at
the expense of being somewhat unsightly...
