AAA experiance (towing)

I had my Scirocco towed home by AAA...after I gave my buddy $300 cash,
he left the keys in it.  I tried driving it, but no brakes=no go.  So I
called AAA...I had no bill of sale, no title, the plates were expired,
it had a flat, and it was in a bad neighborhood.  It would have been
easy for them to think I was stealing it, but nope, they pulled it onto
the hauler and 25 miles later, it was in my driveway.  

Boy was my wife pissed.
