CV joint noise?

Well, replacing the CV joints made no difference, the clicking noise is
still there. I thought it had gone, but it became noticeable after about 10
miles, which is exactly what happened when I swapped the used joint last
week.

A couple of people suggested it might be a wheel bearing. Since turning
right makes it louder, it would be the left front bearing, correct? The
thing is, there's no rumbling or grinding noise and with the car jacked up
there's no slop in the wheels like I'd expect from bad bearings. I'm going
to have to admit defeat & seek professional help...
