(Diesel) Propane injection!!

You can inject it as a liquid but in that form its ALOT of fuel. I dont
recomend it. 

What he needs is a regulator. What it does is it converts the liquid
propane to a gas form. Since its so cold, he will need to run heater
lines to it which does a couple things;
Regulates the temp (consistency) of the gas.
Keeps it from freezing up the regulator. 

I know a couple guys who run propane on their sport bikes. Propane has a
octane rating of something like 130 which, on a high CR motor or forced
induction helps with producing power & cooling the intake charge. Its not
the same as NOS tho, dont be misled. 

Im not sure how propane would work on a diesel since most propane
conversions (or when used as a dual fuel application IE, on Propane or
fuel, pick one you want.) are done on gas engines with NO mods to the
motors. Only the addition of the propane system which, is a very simple
system to install and use. 

As far as sourcing propane kits, its as close as your local forklift
dealer. The only problem might be getting the right size regulator for
your application. If you guess wrong you will have either too much fuel
or not enough. Probably an "IMCO 125" would work.
